I'd accomplished everything I wanted to in my last position and there was no chance of advancement. I also wanted to change to a career where I was helping others and hopefully increase my salary. Being able to work from home is a big plus. Being a single dad, it's nice not to commute to work, and it's easier to work additional hours when needed. We all tend to second-guess our abilities, but FlexJobs boosted my self-esteem. I've been a nurse for over 15 years and had been in search of a more flexible way to serve patients.
