East Bay Academy for Young Scientists - EBAYS is an after-school, summer enrichment, and internship/externship program designed for underserved K-12 students. The organization is located in the East Bay, California area.

The mission of East Bay Academy for Young Scientists - EBAYS is to facilitate the development of critical thinking and research amongst youth of under-served communities. Housed at Lawrence Hall of Science at the University of California Berkeley, East Bay Academy for Young Scientists - EBAYS provides students with research activities, courses, and experience in order to develop their science, technology, engineering, and mathematics skills. The students are challenged to look into problems of water, soil, and air quality in their own communities and to develop knowledge regarding environmental and social justice. The program helps foster important scientific concepts and develop a greater appreciation of how scientific research addresses issues relevant in students’ lives.
