How to Use FlexJobs’ Keyword Search

FlexJobs specializes in jobs that offer flexible work options, and because of that, we have a few tips when it comes tohelping you find jobs that fit your particular situation!

There aremultiple ways to tailor your searchfor jobs to the different attributes you’re looking for, so you have a more accurate, easier, and faster job search.

Keyword Search

One of the most reliable ways to search our site is to use FlexJobs’ keyword search at the top of every page.

Here you can enterjob titles, types of careers, company names, or phrasesthat match your search criteria. The keyword search allows our system to find the maximum number of results throughout all of ourjob categoriesandcompanies. When you enter a job title or keyword, the search will find jobs with any relevant synonyms, prefixes, and suffixes. For instance, if you enter the word “lawyer,” you will also get results with the word “attorney.”

Refine Your Search Results

After entering your keywords of interest and location, a results page will display where you can refine your search using filters. They are:

Remote:Specify whichlevel of remote workyou’re looking for (100% remote, partial remote, option for remote work, etc.)
Job Type:Choose from Employee, Freelance, and Temporary roles
Schedule:Full-Time, Part-Time, Flexible Schedule, or Alternative Schedule
Category:Narrow the results by career field
Career Level:Entry-level, Experienced, Manager, or Senior Level Manager
Accolades:Filter companies by accolades they’ve received (e.g., FlexJobs Top 100, Forbes 2000)
Title:Filter by specific job title
Company:Narrow your search to only certain companies
Travel:Include or exclude jobs that require travel

You can also pull down the “Tips” menu, located to the right of the search bar on the results page, for tips on narrowing or expanding your search with operators:

| (pipe) for OR
– (dash) for NOT
“ (quotes) for EXACT
* (star) for WILDCARD
